#Together against the virus. Mercator donated 246,000 gloves protecting against viruses and bacteria to the Polish Police

Nearly a quarter of a million nitrile single-use gloves were handed over to the Police on Monday by Mercator Medical, a company based in Krakow. Earlier, the company donated 50,000 face masks to the Ministry of Health.

Precisely 246,000 nitrylex classic Mercator Medical gloves are donated to the units designated by the Police Headquarters to immediately support the safety of police officers, in particular those who serve at border crossing points after the introduction of preventive and control measures at national borders. All this to effectively prevent the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Providing them with the necessary protective equipment is a logistics priority of the Polish Police. With the help of Mercator Medical, we can provide the protective equipment which is so necessary in this difficult situation”, says inspector Mariusz Ciarka, Spokesman of the Chief of Police.

Gloves are formally donated by sale at a symbolic price of PLN 0.01 per package containing 100 gloves of synthetic latex (nitrile).
At the same time, it is worth noting that at the beginning of March 2020 the Mercator Medical Group – a leader in the market of gloves and single-use medical materials – donated 50,000 single-use face masks to the Ministry of Health via the government Material Reserves Agency in Zduńska Wola. The donated face masks are top quality products made of soft, breathable nonwoven fabric. They offer a high wearing comfort and low air resistance while maintaining the filtration function. This reduces and minimises the risk of droplet transmission.
